In my travels across the country doing concert ministry, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many Christian “artists” ranging from national names to local independents. Very few that I’ve met know the “stuff” of life like Marty Miller. I’ve known Marty for nearly twelve years. If there’s one word to describe him and his passion for ministry, it would be “faithfulness”. His music comes from a heart committed to Christ and resonates the character of a man who has endured more trials and tribulations than most would care to imagine. As one tempered by the refiners fire, I trust you’ll find Marty to be refreshing source of spiritual encouragement.
Corey Emerson - Christian Artist - Discovery House Music

Please read what some other pastors have had to say about this Music Ministry -

Our church has been inviting Christian musicians to lead our Sunday worship once a month for several years.  Of all the musicians, I can easily say Marty Miller has been one of my very favorites.  And the feedback I've received from members of my church has been overwhelming.  There's a standard "praise and worship" sound that's common among church musicians these days, but Marty brings a different and unique style to his music that's all his own.  While singing the music he's written, Marty invites the congregation to join in his faith journey -- the blessings and the struggles, the triumphs and the trials, the joys and the sorrows.  By sharing so deeply and personally from his own walk with the Lord, he reveals the spiritual growth he has experienced, and shows ways that others may grow in their own relationship with Christ.  The result is never a performance for the sake of entertaining the crowd, but rather a true worship experience where Marty manages to use his musical gifts and talents to direct the congregation's focus well beyond himself and toward our God.

We really enjoyed your visit and ministry. Many people commented that they were touched by your message, but also impressed with your heart and personality. You were open, sincere and genuine and that perhaps spoke even louder than your songs. Many “artists” put on a “show”, but you “shared” yourself and Christ. Very powerful. I hope we can do ministry together again. May God richly bless your Canadian adventure with fruit beyond your imagination!

Hi Marty. Thanks again for being with us Sunday evening.  We appreciated your ministry through music and just encouraging our people as you shared your life with us.

Thanks again for coming to share your faith with us.  The Lord has indeed blessed you with a great voice and terrific skills with guitar and keyboard.  Several people have let me know how much they appreciated your concert with us.  I especially appreciated your willingness in letting me assist with selecting the songs.  I think what you ended up bringing, turned out to be a great blessing to all of us.  May the Lord continue to work through you and your music wherever He leads!  Pastor Wollman, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church--Goshen, IN

Marty Miller presents a concert that appeals to audiences of all ages and styles.  We had grandmothers in their 80’s and teenagers alike enjoying Marty’s music.  He not only performs original compositions that powerfully communicate his faith and the struggle in his own journey but he also performs favorite hymns with a fresh appeal.   He is so authentic and comfortable with his relationship with Christ that his witness in song is very powerful.  I came to this concert tired and left inspired.

It was a delight having you at our Church recently. Everyone in attendance spoke so enthusiastically about your unique sound and strong lyrics. In fact, you received a thunderous applause from those who heard you when I reminded our congregation of the blessing some of them missed who couldn’t make the concert. Thank you for ministering to us and for Christ. It was a wonderful experience and we’re looking forward to having you come again. God bless.

Thanks Marty for coming to our church.  You led our people in worship and helped us worship God.  I loved how you not only led us but you worshiped your God too.  None of this is about us - it's all about God and who He is and what He's done for us.  Thanks for sharing from your heart.  Our people enjoyed your music and the spirit in which you presented it. God's richest blessings to you and your family.  May He greatly expand your ministry!

The folks at Grace were very touched not only by the wonderful and varied music, which you brought to the concert, but by your personal witness of faith.  There was no doubt that Christ has deeply touched your life and because of it the music you present is not work but a loving response to the Christ who has redeemed you and the Spirit who sustains you.  Thank you for coming to our congregation and sharing your own music and the music of others.  The concert was definitely an Easter Season highlight for our congregation.  We are eager to have you return very soon.

Our church thoroughly enjoyed Marty’s ministry. Not only did we enjoy the corporate worship he led us in, but his music and lyrics spoke to our hearts. There are a lot of “songs” out there, songs that don’t say a whole lot about anything; but many of Marty’s songs resonate with a call for the believer to become more like Jesus. They even challenge the person searching for meaning to give their life over to Christ. I think any church or ministry would not be disappointed by allowing Marty Miller to be a part of their ministry and/or outreach.

I was truly blessed and challenged not only with your songs, but also with your words. On a cold and blustery winter evening, you helped draw us close to the warm heart of God, and reminded us of his faithfulness and grace.  Through a variety of musical styles, we were also challenged to take what we have received and share it with the people around us.  I especially appreciated your willingness to be vulnerable and to share some of the struggles you deal with in your own life and on the job--I don't think there was a person there who couldn't relate! Many of the folks who were there that evening are used to a more formal worship style--could you tell?!?--but it is a good thing to be drawn out of our comfort zones, and you did that very effectively.  Thank you so much for allowing God to use you to bless us.  We wish you all the best, and hope you will consider coming again sometime! In addition to Marty's wonderful music, I especially appreciated his emphasis on knowing the Bible and verses of Scripture.  The ELCA began a five year initiative this year to encourage its membership to become more biblically literate and fluent.  Marty's program, personal sharing and challenges were very supportive of this initiative.

Marty Miller is a humble man of God. He lives by faith and leads with his heart. Marty is professional and personal. His music comforts the troubled and challenges the complacent. During our Sunday morning worship, Marty honored tradition and modern styles of music. He is much more than a performer. His use of personal experiences and humor draws people into the message of God’s grace.

In God's hands, Marty's concert was just what we needed in our worship service: words of trust and encouragement in a simple contemporary style.  Marty leads from a genuine, unassuming heart and refreshes our trust in God and our witness in this world.  Put Marty Miller on your short list of quality, authentic and affordable performers!

Marty Miller presented a concert last weekend for the members of our congregation.  Marty is an extremely talented musician who shares his faith through his compositions in a spirit which resonates from his heart and out of his love for our Lord.  Marty's music was authentic and spoke to the hearts of those in attendance.  Even though the program was presented as a concert, it was truly a time of worship filled with the presence of God's Holy Spirit.  Through our time together, those in attendance were led toward a deeper relationship with Chirst, our Savior.  Without reservation, I commend to any congregation to consider including this ministry of music as part of their family programs.  It is truly a blessing.

I experienced Marty as a well organized and an aware person.  Marty has a heart to proclaim Christ through his service of song. I liked the warmth of Marty's singing voice.  He is very capable to deliver a quality presentation with a down home message of the love of Christ.  Marty also involved the spectators to participate in singing.

It was a great blessing to have Marty Miller minister to us at Sherman Church of the Nazarene. His genuine testimony of love for Jesus and for the grace that has been afforded him are obvious in his songs, his words shared and his presentation. Marty came with a heart to serve and a willing spirit at a gracious cost to us. I am thankful for men like Marty Miller who have exceptional musical gifts and desire to use them as a means of sharing the good news with others and encouraging Christians to keep on being faithful to God. I hope to have him come again in the near future.

This is the first time we had Marty at the church.  He had responsibility for the Sunday morning service.  We are eager to have him return.  Marty is a very gifted musician.  He is a humble, Spirit filled, music leader.  He did an outstanding job of weaving a strong Christian witness, music, prayer, and humor into his sharing.  As I shook parishioners hands as they left the service, they wanted him to return because of his gift to bring them to true worship of God.

We greatly enjoyed the ministry of Marty Miller. You brought out the best in us.  Your music and your godly presence were just perfect.  It was as if the Lord pulled back the curtain just a little bit and we were blessed to experience just a little bit of heaven here on earth.  Your leading truly brought us into His presence and for that I am thankful.  It was really great to get to know you a bit and I too would love to do it again.  I hope the Lord brings us together soon.  Whenever you are in the area again, please let me know.  You always have a place to stay.

We had Marty for a Community wide church service in McLean, IL on Sept. 30th, 2007.  We were very blessed by his music and testimony.  Marty gives a clear testimony of what Christ and his love has done for us and can do in our lives.  His easy going friendly manner really helped people to connect with his message and his music.  Many people told me after the concert that they really enjoyed it and that they were very thankful that I brought him here.  They truly felt Marty's concert was a real blessing in their lives.

Marty. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your friend, Dave Bergren for volunteering to come into Deerfield Correctional Facility on Saturday, March 22, 2008. The both of you were outstanding. The prisoners enjoyed the enthusiastic energy you both displayed and the spirit that you showed in your testimonials. Power over addiction whether it is drug abuse or suffering from alcohol, you encouraged a spiritual approach for deliverance. Both of you are a special people to drive the distance from the Grand Rapids area, donating your time and talent to perform to prisoners. This was a positive program and I believe that you have touched many lives and increased their sense of self worth. This was a community outreach program that directly benefited the prisoners. Many prisoners have advised me they appreciated your program and it was very inspirational. We are fortunate to have you come in and welcome you for a return date at your earliest convenience. Thank you again. Sincerely,

I am so grateful for that last email announcing March 25 was available for booking.  You were such a blessing to us, a breath of fresh air to our congregation.  It was fully enjoyed by all ages, a reminder to “Worship in our times of Wilderness”.  Your love for the Lord and your commitment to increase His kingdom comes through your music and testimony. Thank you so very much for what you do.  I pray that we can see you again in a joint church revival type setting in our community.  I pray that God will pour out many blessings on you, your family, and your ministry.  Marty, you will remain in our prayers.  Please keep in touch with us if there is anything that we can do for you.

Marty Miller has ministered at our church with his music.  We found that he has a variety of sounds, and that his music is varied and refreshing.  He led us in worship. It was not a performance; it was worship as he mixed solos with congregational choruses. His music and his words all aided and enhanced the worship atmosphere.  We enjoyed Marty Miller and his music very much.

The Gathering, a United Methodist Church in Harrison, Michigan, launched weekly worship celebrations on April 9, 2006. Marty Miller has been instrumental in more ways than one for The Gathering. In our initial weeks as a worshiping church in 2006 Marty led worship for us and his music served to usher our people into the presence of God each Sunday. And he has returned several times to share his gift. Marty is always contemporary to the setting in which he ministers whether in doors or out of doors he is effective and faithful in every way. Marty's music communicates God's grace and compassion as people listen and sing along. We give you our highest recommendation for Marty. God will bless you through this vessel of peace.

If you are looking for a spiritually delightful musical time, you will find it in the music and words of Marty Miller.  We have had Marty to our small church in Chicago twice now and both times he has played to varied audiences - both in size and diversity - and has won their spirits.  Whether Marty is playing familiar praise songs or songs of his own writing he does so with a spiritual integrity you can't miss.  Marty's love for the Lord is obvious and he is on our calendar again for next year!

Marty Miller gave of his heart and life through song. He spoke to our people through original music and familiar music sung in the “Marty” style. Marty was easy to work with and brought spiritual impact as well as vocal and instrumental talent. Brothers and Sisters in Christ,  It is with great pleasure that I commend to you the music ministry of Marty Miller. His musical talents and warm, friendly spirit enable him to convey the gospel message in some powerful ways. His presentation attempts to involve the crowd by inviting them to sing along some fairly familiar tunes. His style of music is contemporary, but not so loud nor upbeat to distract anyone. There were many who commented that the music was great along with the message. I highly recommend that you consider letting Marty’s ministry cross paths with your ministry for a dynamic presentation of the gospel message. In Christ,

I met Marty over the Internet by way of an intervention from God. I was having a pity party in my office one morning because I was upset from the news of my wife's condition. She had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer at stage 3 and she started Chemo treatments within 3 weeks and then she was going to face surgery. Well the Lord had given me some words for a new song I was working on, and those words were the very same words that came over my E-mail from Marty Miller, that "When The Waters Get High", "You Don't Have To Go At It Alone". I listened to his demo and the Lord used that demo in my life in a very powerful way and I immediately got on the E-mail and got acquainted with Marty. Our church here at "Lighthouse Community Church" in Brownstown, Michigan, appreciated Marty's ministry among us and we would recommend him to any church. He has a great ability to bring meaning to his songs. You'll be glad you invited him and his wife to minister to you and your church.

Wow, the Holy Spirit can even use the Internet and email to accomplish God’s will and purpose! We are still amazed by the work of the Holy Spirit in bringing you to Baroda, Michigan. So, on behalf of everyone at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baroda, I want to thank you for your expression of deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and for your response to God’s particular gift of music and testimony. Your songs were not only inspirational, with a solid message of God’s unconditional love and grace, but your ministry in music and personal testimony were humorous and captivating for young and old alike. We were blessed by your presence with us, and we are looking forward to you return visit next year, for the Second Annual Marty Miller Concert. In the meantime, may the Holy Spirit continue to work in and through your ministry.

It was our privilege to have Marty Miller begin the season of Lent(2002) with his music ministry. His style of music related well with all generations. His repertoire included arrangements of old hymns to contemporary songs. He is gifted with the ability to write words to music that challenge the heart. He has a personality that makes you feel warm right from the beginning. His ministry crosses denominations. I would not hesitate to recommend Marty to any congregation, and pray God will use him for many years to come.

Marty's concert was very musical and very inspiring.  We particularly enjoyed his melodic variations on several well-known hymns.

Thank you so much for joining us on two occasions now, to share the Word through your music. God has blessed you with a voice and an ability to write music that makes the message very clear, enjoyable and entertaining all at once. In both our outside service and at our Coffee House, I appreciated your rapport with the audience. Because of your ability to connect with them, they were responsive to your testimony and your message in song. Thank you for being faithful to the Word of God. We trust that God will continue to give you a passion for sharing the Gospel through music and with the voice He has blessed you with. I would highly recommend your ministry to any organization wishing to share the Word through quality music. Hopefully, we too will have further opportunity to use your ministry some day soon. God bless you as you continue to serve Him.
